Papua New Guinea

In November 2000 I traveled across the world to Papua New Guinea. The purpose of the trip was to spend 10 days on the liveaboard dive boat, the MV Chertan. My first exotic scuba diving trip, it was truly amazing! I went with a group of underwater photographers brought together by friend Monte Smith. We had a wonderful time photographing the wonders of PNG as you will see in the following images.

My cameras were: a Sea & Sea MX10 with the standard YS40a strobe and a Nikon F2 in an Ikelite housing. Strobe used with the housing was an Oceanic 200. The wide-angle images were all taken with the Sea & Sea MX10 using the 20 mm conversion lens. All the macro and fish portraits were taken with the Nikon F2 using a 55 mm macro lens. Thanks to my friend Chris for sharing the Nikon camera and lenses with me.
