At the 2004 California Beach Dive Photo Competition, I won a week-long trip to Murex Dive Resort and Lembeh Resort in North Sulawesi. The donated trip was arranged by Jenny Collister of Reef & Rainforest Dive and Adventure Travel.

The diving is fantastic in North Sulawesi. In Manado and Bunaken we dove walls with huge fans and soft corals, reefs with colorful fish, and muck sites with seldom seen critters. In the Lembeh Strait all the dives were muck dives, although some dives also had some beautiful soft corals and fans.

All images were taken with a Nikon digital SLR, the D70. We both shoot our D70's in Sea&Sea housings and use Ikelite and Sea&Sea strobes. We'll include some of the technical information with each image. Select a thumbnail below for a larger view.
